The 3 C's of Parenting
The Three C’s of Parenting are Consistency, Caring and Consequences.
Second to love, consistency is the most important part of parenting . Children need to know what they can count on in this world in order to feel safe, calm and happy. Consistency builds the foundation of safety and trust that children require to know that they can count on their parents.
Caring is the attitude with which most news should be delivered to your children. At times, parents need to tell their children they have done something wrong, the difference between them feeling shame and feeling understood is the how caring the tone is.
Consequences are a necessary evil in parenting. Parents don’t want to give them and children don’t want to have them, but they make everything better in the long run.
You will see positive results when you learn to deliver your children’s consequences consistently and with a caring tone.
